A lecture day followed by a practical hands-on day, taking participants from the indications and planning of endodontic microsurgery through to the skills needed to manage soft and hard tissue on anatomical models.
You will know the indications, contraindications and limitations of endodontic microsurgery.
You will be able to simplify surgical protocols through appropriate case-by-case planning.
You will recognise the factors that affect the prognosis of this treatment.
You will develop skills that make handling soft and hard tissue easier.
Hands-on takes place in two groups — Friday, 23 April 2027 or Saturday, 24 April 2027 — up to 10 participants each (20 places in total).
You can choose your preferred day in the registration form.
Hands-on takes place in two groups of 10 (20 places in total), so everyone has enough time with the microscope and instruments.
Surgical microscopes, instruments, anatomical models and other materials needed for the practical sessions are provided by the organiser.
The lecture takes place in Tallinn; the practical part at the University of Tartu Institute of Dentistry.
Paula Villa is an experienced endodontist who completed her studies at Universidad CES in Medellín, Colombia. She co-founded the endodontics residency programme at Universidad de Antioquia, where she still teaches as a professor, training future endodontic specialists.
A recognised leader in endodontic microsurgery, she has been invited to speak at numerous international congresses and has led microsurgery courses around the world, introducing modern techniques to practitioners. She has served as president of the Colombian Association of Endodontists and has published scientific papers in the field. She currently runs a private practice in Medellín, Colombia, focused on endodontics and endodontic microsurgery.
